Today I've got what I suppose you'd call an "American anime" character! This is Mercury Black from Rooster Teeth's RWBY animated web series. I remember when those preview fight videos for RWBY came out and I was really really hyped over them. Once the series came out though I kind of lost interest when I saw that it was all 3D CGI animated. Maybe that was too judge-y of me to write it off because of the animation style. But, I've been burned before by anime trying to do CG and it just looking like garbage. A lot of people seem to really like RWBY though, so maybe I should give it a chance. Then I'd find out who Mercury Black is and why he's got Bayonetta style gun shoes.
